Friday update time!
OK, latest news: our assembly partner is making up for lost time after waiting for sub-suppliers. They have to, because most companies already are closing down for Chinese New Year holidays, so the heat is on!
Our assembly team has been working overtime and are at the final stages now.
Below some quick and dirty pictures they shared with us to show they have not been sleeping a lot.
There still is some testing to do (WR is done for each watch). The limited editions need extra engraving as well. They will ship to us mid next week, which means they will arrive when I am in a holiday cottage with my family. I will take paperwork (shipments) with me for the nights, but physical stuff (check, straps, sort orders, shipping) will have to wait until I am back.
Please check our Facebook page regularly, as most updates appear there quickest.
Enjoy your weekend!

Dear Backers,
Time for another update about the Bull production!
Again we show you some parts as they (finally) arrived at our assembly partner. The ceramic bezel inlays, part of the unique design of the Bull, have arrived.
Can you imagine the handling? From ceramic factory to our assembly partner for painting, then drying, than assembly onto the cases....
Bottom ones are the black ones, top ones the grey ones (Silver Bull)
So where did you see this design before? Right. Nowhere. ;-)
Ceramic is both strong and brittle at the same time, so in manufacturing there are high (planned) losses due to breakage. All in the game of delivering a watch with a bezel that looks like this. The pictures show the bezel inserts before being painted (by hand).
The steel turning bezels have been done again to make them 120 clicks versus 90 clicks as mentioned before.
The VK meca-quartz movements with date (2-eye models) received a replacement date disc, as that particular Seiko movement is only sold as kit for non-bullhead watches. So the date would be on its side. So already months ago we secured spare parts of another VK movement that has the date as needed on our "6" position. We now have exchanged the standard date discs with the correct bullhead-orientation date discs. One of the many details that go into getting this watch as we need it to be. And one of many things one should be aware of when designing/engineering a watch.
All dials should be ready this week, same as the cases.
It looks like things go slower than planned, but we expect a planning update from our assembly partner soon. Last update still was saying January as delivery date but that might be a little optimistic/best case scenario.
Painting the inside of the bezel inserts takes most time now. For the rest it should be a rather straightforward standard assembly.
We keep our philosophy simple: timing follows quality. It is the only way to go.
So even if these part pictures again maybe not the most sexy thing, they show that nothing simply rolls from a production line "automatically". It takes real work. ;-)
With kind regards,

Dear backers,
With this very bad picture of the unfinished Bronze bezel insert of the Bronze Bull, we wish you a fantastic, healthy 2016 full of love!
Busy times lie ahead for us at Stuckx. The Bull continues one could say....
