Latest Updates from Our Project:

Yes, still alive and working!
almost 11 years ago – Tue, Dec 01, 2015 at 07:52:59 PM

Dear backers,

Life has been rather hectic. We will post more updates soon as slowly parts will trickle in. Rest assured that no news generally means all is going as planned and nothing interesting is happening.

Most of what is happening for Bull still is background work. Pushing suppliers, finding everyday solutions to small challenges, And mostly, very sexy: waiting.

Last week we received the racing straps that many of you ordered as extra. They turned out great. The buckle is signed with "Stuckx" obviously. Still happy that we added these straps as option.

One of the next days, "The Time Bum" will publish his honest opinion about a 2-eye Bull model. We are looking forward to that. We will share a link to the final article as soon as possible.

We had a bit of a challenge sourcing the grey ceramic bezel for the Silver Bull. Getting the color we wanted took some real effort. We succeeded and are sure it will look gorgeous. Hands, movements and date discs have arrived. The real wait is for the ceramic bezels, cases and dials. Yup, tailor made takes time.

We heard the request for more updates. Thanks for that feedback. We simply tried to stick to relevant news. We find it hard to write updates when reality is that we simply are waiting. But rest assured: you will soon wish us being silent. The coming weeks a lot will happen! And updates will follow more frequently.

All going to plan!
almost 11 years ago – Sun, Oct 25, 2015 at 04:01:20 AM

Dear Backers,

Just a brief update today, letting you know all is proceeding as planned. This is the strange phase of production where a lot is happening but we don't have to show anything for it yet.

After receiving the funds you fixed your choices and we proceeded with the ordering of parts, which are being prepared as we speak. We visited our local coordinator in Hong Kong during the watch fair to ensure we have all eyes on the ball. As we made the prototypes long ago and are working with the same companies (not only for Stuckx), we know what we can expect.

The only change was the cancellation of the Bloody and Lemon Bull. Even though, based on earlier requests and comments, we had expected a good quantity of those, actual orders were less than a handful. In the meantime we have contacted those backers and all (except one) understood the situation and accepted our offer to change their selection.

The moment we will have some finished parts to show, we will. Rest assured that sofar all is going to plan. We probably will face some minor issues/surprises along the way but that we are used to. It goes with the territory of watch production. If that influences the end-product in any way, we will communicate immediately.

Parallel to the Bull watches, we are finishing our first model, The RocK. This should arrive with us before the end of November (if you want one, be quick to benefit from the pre order prices). Quantity is more limited and also technically this 1000m titanium dive watch was a bit more complicated than the Bull. It will also be a test for our local test/pack/ship cycle. We will use a new shipping facility/partner and we are looking forward to that.

Any issues we will find out will be useful to fine tune our processes for that moment the Bull models will arrive.

In the meantime, we will continue to offer our Bull models in our Backerkit-linked pre-order shop: please share that link with your friends who think they missed out on the Kickstarter campaign. It will stay open until short before shipping.

I wish you all a very pleasant Sunday!

With kind regards,

Stephan

Packaging, Stuckx Style.
about 11 years ago – Tue, Sep 01, 2015 at 12:19:42 PM

Dear Backers,

Some time ago we had to decide packaging for our first few models. Minimum order quantities are high, so we thought long and hard. We saw more boxes than you can imagine and finally found one that we liked. Then we had it changed to fit our needs.

We wanted to offer a nice unpack experience to customers. I know, it is an emotional argument. But still. I always feel better when a product I purchased for myself feels like a present. I am so worth it!

We wanted the packaging to radiate a bit of our design philosophy. A dash of color and 3D elements. 70's abundance.
The box itself is protected by a cardboard box with logo. The outside material of the box has a nice tactile feel and boasts our logo in 3D. I love that detail. I actually ordered extra of those logo's and probably will stick them to anything in my surroundings. ;-)

The inside provides enough space for the watch and some straps. In the lid there will be a keeper for the warranty card.

Some will say: "don't need it", others will love the gesture. Anyway, it will protect the watch well during transport and it is Stuckx Style. I for sure hope that some of you will feel that little bit more happy when unpacking this gift to themselves.

 With kind regards,

Stephan

The Next Stretch Goal: Backers' Edition engraving/print
about 11 years ago – Mon, Aug 24, 2015 at 06:34:42 AM

Dear Backers,

Let's look ahead. Based on input from many of you, we now aim for a new stretch target at 115.000 Euro. Definitely within reach!

We will engrave each kickstarter-backed mecha-quartz watch with the following engraving, that we will fill with black paint:

Backers' Edition Engraving
Backers' Edition Engraving

We will print this Bull image as well -in black paint- on the inside of the back-side crystal of the mechanical kickstarted-backed Bull models.

Design

We chose to use a graphic in style with our brand: corny, exaggerated and bold. Like the movie. The Man. The Woman. The Bull. ("Awesome" I hear myself add in my mind, I have seen the movie too many times)

Exclusive

This engraving/print will only be used on this so called "Backers' Edition".

Watches sold via our own site later on will not have this engraving/print. See it as a special edition for all of you who supported the project on kickstarter.

Promotion

We will appear as featured post on some huge Instagram accounts, the Thunderclap campaign will be broadcasted on Saturday and we are awaiting another review on one of the leading leading watch blogs. We will get some more local PR that should continue to drive traffic. Holiday season kicked in though.

We still have 12 days to go, which means we are only half way!

If you still haven't, please join the other Thunderclap supporters via THIS LINK. It means a lot to me! And it might get you closer to the stretch goal as well

With kind regards,

Stephan

Silver Bull & Bronze Bull unlocked! And pictures!
about 11 years ago – Mon, Aug 24, 2015 at 03:13:06 AM

We made it! 105k!

Dear Backers,

This one makes me very happy. Two versions we always wanted to make will be made!

Silver & Bronze Bull, a very warm welcome to you!

Read all about how to pledge for these beauties in update 17!

NEXT STRETCH GOAL

So and now? The next target. Time for you guys to propose I guess. We heard somebody about a folding buckle, somebody mentioned an engraved back plate for mecha-quartz models.

The package now contains a watch with AR coated sapphire, 200m WR, ceramic 3D bezel, 120 click unidirectional bezel, two fine german made leather straps, a stuckx-style watch box (I will show soon) and 24 months warranty. With either a nice mecha-quartz or a mechanical automatic chronograph produced by seiko. We didn't save on the details. We also didn't hide lots of margin for things to come.

Let us know your suggestions and we might make a poll to choose! That works for you?

Now some pictures that people seem to like seeing lots of (iphone, no filters, honest photo type pics with lint):
